The side-mount kit converts the normal TransPac harness from a conventional back mount harness into a side-mount rig for divers that need to carry two cylinders on either side of their body, rather than their back. This configuration is ideal for working from small boats (read canoe and kayak), expeditions, and remote exploration. The side-mount kit comes in two sizes. The standard plate is 6” by 10” long and works for people up to 40” waist (approximately) The XL is 6” by 16” long. Both plates have bent rigid 2” d rings on both sides for the cylinders to hook up to. The extra straps in the kit help to secure the wings and cylinder necks.
